Ripley arrives on loan

On the eve of City's first Sky Bet League 1 fixture of the season at Bristol City this Saturday, the Bantams have completed the loan signing of Middlesbrough 'keeper Connor Ripley.


Ripley. who travelled with the squad to Bristol this Friday, has signed a short-term loan deal with City that will keep him with the club until the end of August.


The twenty year-old shot-stopper is available for this afternoon's season-opener at Ashton Gate and will wear squad number 12 during his time at the Coral Windows Stadium.


Standing at 6'3'', Ripley comes to City having featured as part of England's squad for this summer's FIFA Under 20 World Cup.


He also has four Under 19 caps and one Under 21 cap to his name.


Ripley, who is the son of former Blackburn Rovers winger Stuart, has featured twice for Middlesbrough's first team.
