Clarkson comes to City

21 November 2013

The Bantams have swooped to snap up promising young striker Lewis Clarkson from Evo-Stik First Division side Scarborough Athletic.

The 19 year-old forward has penned an eighteenth-month contract at the Coral Windows Stadium, with the club having an option to extend Clarkson's deal by a further year should they wish.

Clarkson will wear squad number 25 for City this season. Following his move to the Bantams, Clarkson trained with his Bradford team-mates at the club's Apperley Bridge training ground for the first time this Thursday.

The pacey attacker joins Phil Parkinson' squad after impressing City scouts with his scoring feats for Scarborough this season.

Clarkson, who left Premier League side Hull City in the summer, has scored nine goals in a recent five-game period for 'Boro.

He joins the Bantams on a free transfer.
