CITY ARRIVE AT THEIR IRISH BASE

13 July 2014

Phil Parkinson's Bantams arrived in Ireland this Sunday to begin their week-long stay in the country.

Following victory in their opening friendly of the summer at Guiseley on Saturday, City's squad have quickly moved on with their preparations for the forthcoming 2014/2015 season.

The Bantams set off from Leeds/Bradford Airport this Sunday morning before arriving at their hotel around half an hour outside Dublin in the afternoon.

Despite missing the win over Guiseley at Nethermoor, the trio of Aaron Mclean, Matt Taylor and Oliver McBurnie have all travelled. Out-of-contact duo Jon McLaughlin and Raffaele De Vita are part of the travelling party as well.

Parkinson has also brought along with him a couple of the trialists who were on show at Guiseley, plus youth team trio Elliott Barker, James King and Sam Wright.

The Bantams will play two friendlies during their time in the Emerald Isle - one with UCD on Tuesday (15 July 2014) and another against Shelbourne on Saturday (19 July).

City will also be using the extensive facilities at their hotel base throughout their stay to give the players a week's worth of varied and challenging training sessions.
