Zoko, one of seven changes brought in by Phil Parkinson following Saturday's defeat at Peterborough United, swooped to head home Mark Yeates' cross after Crawley goalkeeper Lewis Price had misjudged the delivery.

During a bright opening from Parkinson's new-look starting line up, Christopher Routis - playing in midfield this time - could have had an opening for City's second but Gwion Edwards got back to kick clear after James Meredith's inviting cross had fallen into the Frenchman's path.

With James Hanson back in the side after missing three games with a hamstring problem, City looked to see out the game as the second half progressed.

Crawley did enjoy one promising opening to score seven minutes from the end of normal time but Izale McLeod headed wide from close range following Gavin Tomlin's well-placed cross from deep into his path.

The win for the Bantams moves them back to within a single point of Doncaster Rovers in the final Play-Off spot with a game in hand on the South Yorkshire side.

29min: YELLOW CARD - Pogba is deservedly booked for pulling Meredith back after the left back had spun away from him and looked to power down City's left flank.

26min: Hanson flicks on Yeates' clipped ball into the middle and Richard Wood has to head over his own crossbar for a corner to clear the danger posed by the attack.

25min: Young crosses the ball into the area but Mathias Pogba's header goes well wide of target and Pickford can gather easily.

20min: The Kop roars for a penalty when Zoko tries to nick a bouncing ball past the body of Darren Ward inside the area. The ball looks like it could have caught Ward's arm but referee Drysdale says it hit his chest instead and waves play on.

17min: James Meredith's teasing cross into the box drops at the feet of Christopher Routis but the ball is whipped off the Frenchman's toes and out for a corner by Bradley just as he looks to strike from close range.

16min: YELLOW CARD - After initially letting play continue, referee Darren Drysdale books Sonny Bradley for trying to bring Zoko down as the Ivorian steamed into Crawley territory.

10min: McLeod shoots from just inside the box but his angled drive is straight at Pickford.

10min: Yeates crosses for Zoko but the Ivorian's looping header is held by a back-tracking Price.

6min: With the ball bouncing around Crawley's penalty area, Andy Halliday arrives on the scene but the Scotsman's low strike flies wide of the near post.

4min: A long ball forward from Anthony Wordsworth plays Izale McLeod into a pocket of space behind City's back-line. With Rory McArdle for company though, McLeod shoots for goal from just inside the box but the bouncing drive is comfortable for Jordan Pickford.

2min: James Hanson shrugs off the attentions of Lewis Young out over on City's right flank before moving into the area and firing in a low angled drive that Lewis Price clings onto by his near post.
