Phil Parkinson's brilliant Bantams produced arguably one of the greatest achievements in the long history of English domestic football by amazingly booking their place in the Capital One Cup Final on a mind-blowing night for City.

On easily one of the greatest nights in the club's history, City secured their spot in a dream Wembley final with a 4-3 aggregate win over Aston Villa in front of over six and a half thousand delirious Bantams followers at Villa Park.

Leading 3-1 from the first leg, City's advantage was halved midway through the opening half when Villa's Christian Benteke prodded home from close range.

With Villa's tails up at this stage, lesser sides could have easily crumbled, but Parkinson's current crop of Bantams are clearly made of sterner stuff and equalised ten minutes into the second half with a brilliant header by James Hanson from a Gary Jones corner.

Second half substitute Andreas Weimann did pull a goal back a minute before the end of normal time to set up a nervy finish, but City weren't to be denied their moment of history.
