At a recent Fans Forum, Phil Parkinson asked supporters to really get behind the team at the Coral Windows Stadium this season. Friends of Bradford City (FoBCFC) supporters group believe that they may have the perfect answer.
FoBCFC are looking for supporters to turn Valley Parade and visiting grounds into a sea of claret and amber when the Bantams play this season.
To help to bring this dream to a reality, FoBCFC have produced a branded retro claret and amber bar scarf, which is free for anyone who joins FoBCFC as either a Claret (£100) or Amber (£5) member.
The cost is £7.50 for the Amber membership if you wish the scarf to be posted out within the UK.
The new home of FoBCFC on match days is the portakabin which is located in the car park outside the Co-operative Main Stand - opposite the Valley Parade Fire Memorial.
Alternatively, FoBCFC will have members stationed around various parts of the ground this Saturday ahead of City's home game of the season against AFC Wimbledon.
Fans will be able to use these points around Valley Parade fill in membership forms, pay the £5 Amber membership fee and collect their free FoBCFC Claret and Amber scarf.
Cash or cheques will be accepted for membership and scarves will be available on Saturday for the game against AFC Wimbledon.
Supporters can also join both Claret & Amber membership of FoBCFC via the their website - friendsofbcfc.co.uk
- and pay for membership online.
For all of those who witnessed the scenes when Swindon Town visited on the final game of last season to celebrate winning the League at Valley Parade, the away end was filled with a mass of red and white scarves.
It was a very impressive sight and a very effective way of showing the togetherness of their supporters.
So far, this initiative has captured peoples imagination and already scarves have been posted out to America and Australia.
Phil Parkinson has already backed the scarf initiative and has also agreed to become a member of FoBCFC.
