The members of City charity group BantamsTrek, including its founder, Bantams kit man John Duckworth, would like to give a big thank you to everybody who took part in their two recent coffee mornings.

BantamsTrek, in association with the Friends of Bradford City, held two coffee mornings last week to help raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

The coffee mornings were run to coincide with Macmillan's 'World's Biggest Coffee Morning' fundraising and awareness project, with the charity encouraging people to hold their own coffee morning events in their local area to try and raise money and support for the group.

The first BantamsTrek coffee morning was held in the Bantams Bar at the Coral Windows Stadium on Friday. The second took place at the Highfield Hotel, Idle on Sunday.

Both events were attended by members of Phil Parkinson's playing squad, while the Bantams boss himself made an appearance at the Friday coffee morning.

Fans who came along to show their support were able to purchase various items, including teas, coffees and cakes, via some of the numerous stalls that were on show throughout both events.

Supporters who came to the Friday coffee morning at the Coral Windows Stadium were also able to sample the brand new FIFA15 computer game.

John and his fellow BantamsTrek members would like to thank everyone who played a part in either one of the two recent coffee mornings. That includes all the stall holders, supporters and members of the wider community who turned up, plus any other parties/groups who gave up their time and/or produce to help with the charity events.

Donations are still being counted but early figures seem to suggest that the coffee mornings have help to raise a four-figure amount for Macmillan.

Last week's coffee mornings were the latest in a long list of charity fundraising events set up by BantamsTrek.

John and his BantamsTrek team held a coffee morning last September at the Coral Windows Stadium for Macmillan, while the group have also organised a large number of other charity events since their birth in 2010, including fundraising walks from Valley Parade to Lincoln City's Sincil Bank and a sponsored Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge.

They have raised money for not only Macmillan, but for the Bradford Burns Unit and for the football club itself as well.
