McCALL TARGETING HOME SUCCESS

26 September 2016

Bantams boss Stuart McCall says City will be looking for that winning feeling when they entertain Fleetwood Town at the Northern Commercials Stadium this Tuesday (27 September 2016) evening.

Going into the home midweek encounter with Fleetwood, McCall's men remain the only side left undefeated in Sky Bet League One but their last five matches have all been draws.

Saturday's goalless draw at Bolton Wanderers extended City's unbeaten start in the league to nine games but McCall wants City step things up a notch when Fleetwood arrive at Valley Parade on Tuesday.

McCall said: "We've been a little bit frustrated in our recent home games.

"We've drawn three and won one (at home) but in all three of the draws we feel we've created enough to warrant the victory.

"We've been pleased with the performances of the lads but sometimes you maybe have to sacrifice a performance for a result.

"This is something we are conscious of as we try to find a way back to winning ways.

"We've gone to Bolton on Saturday, a side who are arguably one of the strongest in the division defensively, especially on their own patch, and we were slightly disappointed not to win.

"I don't think we quite did enough to merit the victory but it is testament to the attitude of the players that they want to win every game they can.

"Although we have been frustrated with some of our recent draws, especially the home ones, you only have to take a quick look around the league to see how many draws there have been this season.

"There have been a lot of tight and closely-contested matches in the division, and I expect Tuesday's match with Fleetwood to be no different.

"As pleased as we have been by our unbeaten start, we are determined to try and turn these recent one-point hauls into all three points.

"We are aware that we haven't scored as many goals as we would have liked so far but we are doing everything we can on and off the training pitch to rectify that.

"We certainly have the players within our squad to get us the goals needed."
