Today represents arguably our biggest game of the season here at the Northern Commercials stadium and has all the makings of a fantastic occasion. I certainly know Stefan and Edin are really looking forward to their first ‘Yorkshire derby’ and seeing English football at its best.

We especially welcome all our visitors making the short trip up M1 including Chris Wilder, a former Bantam himself and friend to many here at the club

The cream is rising to the top!

With 14 games now gone in the season for most clubs, everyone is starting to find their feet and it’s no surprise to see the top six shaping up as it is. Despite Sheffield United’s difficult start to the season, their recent record has proved why they are one of the favourites to be promoted but equally they come to Bradford knowing that no game is a formality. Two big clubs with big aspirations but the likes of Bolton, MK Dons, Scunthorpe, Rochdale and Port Vale are proving in this is one hell of a league! As always as in recent years, the travelling Blades fans are coming in big numbers to add to what will be a special atmosphere, we thank you for that.

Be proud and loud

Despite a host of other big games taking place across the leagues today, there is no place we would rather be than at this Yorkshire derby in front of a crowd of 20,000. That statistic alone is something both sets of fans should take immense pride in. We are both lucky to have big followings and this will never and should never be taken for granted. Life in the third tier of English football is very hard but the quality is arguably what makes this league one of the best in Europe. Take Germany, Italy, France, Spain etc.. and below the top tier in these countries there won’t be many bigger occasions or atmospheres than this.  We hope you all have a great day building up to kick off and whatever happens on the pitch, we ask that you will allow your fellow supporters around you to enjoy the game in a safe, family environment!

Your support has been immense at home and away all season but when playing at home when we outnumber the away support we all must take collective responsibility to inspire the team from the off. They in turn have a responsibility to inspire you the fans with their performances too. If they give ten out of ten on the pitch, we as supporters must give ten out of ten in our support. The K block Bantams with their flags and our recent #scarfparades have proved we are a special club. Let's prove it today and at every home game!

Stadium improvements

As new owners of the Club, Stefan, Edin with myself are very proud of what we are currently achieving on and off the field but please understand we have a long way to go. The much awaited scoreboard will happen and will be worth it. We have revamped many of the suites in the main stand and now the plan is to work on other areas of the ground including the Kop (including
Bantams Bar) and, of course, the Midland Road stand and the North West Corner.
These improvements will cost thousands of pounds, so please be patient as we will look for your input over the next few months as to how we can go about this.

Unfortunately this week we heard the news that the relationship  between the EFL and InTechnology Wifi (to provide both a club app and free wifi for us) has ended with immediate effect as it was not financially viable. This was a big deal for the club in terms of offering fans a better match day experience whilst also a chance to bring significant revenue into the club. We must now look and see if this is something we can do ourselves.

All we ask from you as supporters is to support our plans and send us your ideas as to how we can improve and lets go on the journey together.

Enjoy the game.
