James Beeby, Director of Fundraising at Prostate Cancer UK, said: “We’re delighted that Bradford City’s supporters have joined the fight against prostate cancer and raised vital funds for Prostate Cancer UK.
“Ignoring prostate cancer will not beat it, and the money raised by the club’s fantastic fans will fund ground-breaking research to help fight the disease. That will help us provide dedicated support and information to men and their families affected by this disease.
“We are proud to be Official Charity Partner of the EFL, and Bradford and clubs from across the football family have consistently shown a brilliant demonstration of what we call Men United: people joining one team to fight a common opposition – prostate cancer.
“One man every hour dies from prostate cancer; it’s the most common cancer in men, but we want to make prostate cancer a disease that the next generation of men do not fear. We thank Bradford City for joining the fight.”
On top of City's fundraising efforts, two Bantams fans - Tim Kent and Iggy Milomo - took part in the 'Football to Amsterdam' cycle ride earlier this month for Prostate Cancer UK.
The marathon charity cycle trek saw Tim and Iggy cycle from Barnsley's Oakwell Stadium to Ajax's Amsterdam Arena in the Netherlands.
After originally hoping to raise £2,000, the duo have currently amassed £2,738 through donations.

Now in its fourth year, Prostate Cancer UK took the EFL’s annual end of season fundraiser to new heights from 3-5 June as a record-breaking field of 350 riders raised more than £425,000, swelling the overall pot since the event’s inception to seven figures.
