CITY LEGENDS HELP TO CELEBRATE THE START OF THE FESTIVE SEASON!

3 December 2016

City legends, sponsors, staff and supporters joined together to celebrate the start of the festive season with the club's 'Legends Christmas Lunch' at the Northern Commercials Stadium this Friday.

As many as twelve former City players, including the likes of Peter Jackson, John Hendrie and Wayne Jacobs, were on show for the Xmas lunch within the 2013 Suite at Valley Parade.

Along with Jackson, Hendrie and Jacobs, Charlie Rackstraw, John Hall, Ian Cooper, Jimmy Cuthbertson, Ian Ormondroyd, John Dreyer, Terry Dolan, Terry Gray and Greg Abbott were also on hand to bring some early Christmas cheer.

Guests were treated to a festive two-course meal and an entertaining after-dinner speech from Abbott.

While also hearing from Jackson, Hendrie and Dreyer, those present were able to bid on some rare items of memorabilia, including Romain Vincelot's captain's armband from the recent 4-0 victory over Rochdale and a Northampton Town programme signed by team-mates of Bobby Campbell.

The event was the latest organised by the club following the official launch of 'The Legends' group back in March.

The Legends group was created to allow former Bantams the opportunity to keep in touch with the club and, equally, to give supporters the chance to rekindle fond memories with their favourite players from the past.

Each Legends event also helps to raise funds for the club's youth and academy set-up.
