CITY CONFIRM RABIEGA SIGNING

16 August 2016

The Bantams have today (Tuesday) completed the signing of striker Vincent Rabiega.

The 21 year-old forward has penned a one-year contract with the football club to become City's tenth new signing of the summer transfer window.

Having received international clearance, the striker could now come into contention to feature in City's travelling party for their Sky Bet League One fixture at Milton Keynes Dons this Tuesday evening.

Rabiega travelled with McCall's men for last weekend's win at Peterborough United, taking part in the warm-up, as the club waited for the forward's move to the Northern Commercials Stadium to be ratified.

The Berlin-born attacker had previously been on trial with the Bantams during pre-season, scoring twice in City's friendly match with near neighbours Bradford Park Avenue last month.

Despite being born in Germany, Rabiega has represented Poland at various different age categories, including Under 19s and Under 20s.

Rabiega spent a period earlier in his career in the youth set up at Hertha Berlin before moving to fellow Bundesliga side RB Leipzig in 2013.

Speaking about Rabiega's signing, Bantams boss Stuart McCall said: "He's come in on trial and done well - we feel he has something we could work with.

"He is a young player and someone who we feel we can develop and progress over time.

"We are still in the market for another more experienced forward but Vincent could give us an extra option."

Rabiega will wear squad number 17 for the remainder of this season.
